Which info should I submit to technical support team?

We attempt to answer customer’s enquires and provide solutions to their problems as fast as possible. However sometimes most time is spent to fetch all needed information from customer. So please provide as much information as possible when sending a question or reporting an issue to customer support.

At least, give following data:

Version of operating system

Version of Zillya! Antivirus and virus database (might by found on Update tab of main window)

All steps that lead to the problem that you are reporting
Please attach screenshot to illustrate your problem. One picture worth a thousand words!

Collect all information about recent changes on your computer – adding or removing programs, installation or removal of additional hardware, changing of Windows settings.

Antivirus log files:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Zillya Antivirus\Logs (For Windows XP) or C:\Users\All Users\Zillya Antivirus (for Windows Vista или Windows 7)

Can I use Zillya! Antivirus along with another antivirus product?

Using of Zillya! Antivirus along with other antivirus is strongly not recommeneded because of potential conflicts that might cause system slow-downs or even render system non-functional:

Antivirus programs access similar system files during their activity. Simultaneous access to same resources might cause conflicts or system faults.

All antivirus products has real-time scanning feature which uses some system resources. Having two real-time scanners running at the same time might cause significant slow-down of the system.

Set of security features built into Zillya! Antivirus are enough to safeguard user from any type of malware. Zillya! has enough functionality and enforces strict security policies with its malware detection and elimination technologies.

What are system requirements for Zillya! Antivirus?

CPU speed: 800 MHz or more

RAM: 256 Mb or more

Hard drive free space: 80 Mb

Why do I need automatic updates?

Regular scheduled update of application and antivirus bases is needed to ensure efficient product functioning. Outdated virus bases are inefficient, that’s why Zillya! Antivirus has automatic updates turned on by default. We don’t’ recommend to change these settings.

If you need to disable scheduled updates by any reason, please make sure you re-enable it as soon as possible.

Can I disable this notification?

You need to disable ‘Notification about completed update’ option which could be found on Options page

How often are virus bases are updated?

Usually we issue one or two updates of virus bases per day. Zillya! Antivirus developers react immediately on new emerging threats to update antivirus databases. In case of significant epidemy we issue out-of-band updates to ensure maximum protection for our customers.

How to update bases on computer that doesn’t have access to Internet?

f built-in update mechanism doesn’t work because of absence of Internet connection you might use Offline databases update. This way you might download file with the latest signatures from any other computer and copy it (via networks or with any removable media, such as flash stick, CD-RW disk etc.).

Copy file to the computer with Zillya! Antivirus installed

Run the file

Follow instructions of the Setup wizard
